THE CHALLENGE
With two of the four phases of the I-215 Widening Project complete, lack of funding threatened to halt the second half of the project. We spearheaded a groundbreaking event with the goal of capturing national attention and garnering the participation of state and federal agencies.
THE RESULTS
More than 9 million media impressions from outlets like the Wall Street Journal and Associated Press were generated from the groundbreaking event that featured national and state representatives. Shortly thereafter, U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood testified before Congress and gave his report on stimulus funding to date – our project was the shining example for all highway projects. We were recognized for the extraordinary results by receiving the Public Relations Society of America’s National Silver Anvil Award – the Oscars of our industry!
